The
Big Wedding:
9/11, The Whistleblowers, and the Cover-Up

9/11
was allowed to happen by Bush’s architects of death.
Every five years or so comes the kind of book that is likely to lead to
the resignation and impeachment of senior White House officials.
In March, Vox Pop will publish such a book: The Big Wedding: 9/11, The Whistleblowers, and the Cover-Up by Sander Hicks, the gutsy investigative journalist and "punk of publishing" who started Soft Skull Press and Vox Pop.
Hicks was the first to savage the 9/11 Commission Report for its
litany of omissions in the aggressively contrarian New York Press.
Hicks was the first journalist to report on 9/11 widow Ellen
Mariani's lawsuit against Bush in the investigative newsweekly Long
Island Press.
Hicks is the only writer on 9/11 who traveled to Toronto to find
the man who predicted 9/11 from inside a jail cell, and he's the only
reporter to have been verbally abused by a member of the 9/11
Commission.
Hicks was the first television reporter to broadcast an interview
with Mohamed Atta's American stripper girlfriend, Amanda Keller.
Everything she said contradicted the FBI's official story about Atta in
Florida. In Hicks' interviews with researcher Daniel Hopsicker, it
looks like Atta was in Florida because of the connections between the
Huffman Aviation flight school, Bush family friends, and narcotics
trafficking. But only Hicks connects the dots: with Atta's level of
access, it's likely he was a double agent in the US/Al Qaeda spy war.
At INN World Report television, Hicks broadcast a definitive piece on
9/11 Whistleblower Randy Glass that went farther than Dateline NBC had
been willing to go. Glass is a former jewelry thief-turned-FBI
informant who infiltrated Pakistani terrorist groups close to 9/11, the
ISI, and CIA. At the last minute, Glass divulged information that could
not be included in the broadcast, but is now the hottest smoking gun in
the book. Glass's arms dealers/terrorists told him the World Trade
Center would be attacked. Out of concern, in July of 2001, Glass called the State Department and said,"Look. Listen, I know the World Trade Center is going to be attacked." But what did one of Colin Powell's right-hand men tell Glass that summer? "Randy listen, you cannot mention any of these things, especially airplanes being used to fly into the World Trade Center."
With original research and interviews, The Big Wedding
provides a new level of proof that Bush's advisors had detailed
foreknowledge of 9/11. The book dispenses with the hypothetical and the
realm of maybe. It attacks the kooky conspiracy theories, like
"no-plane-hit-the-Pentagon," which distract from certain suppressed
historical truths: the CIA has had a controlling, client relationship
with the powerful Pakistani intelligence group, ISI. The ISI has proven
links to 9/11; they were key funders, trainers, and supporters.
Therefore, it's impossible that the CIA and White House didn't have
detailed foreknowledge of 9/11
Hicks provides details from the Iran/Contra and Bank of Credit and
Commerce International scandals that aid our understanding of the
global political struggle and the secret history that never makes its
way onto corporate media outlets. BCCI, like 9/11, involved black
market global capital, the Bush family, the Pakistanis, and the CIA. An
overview of the literature on BCCI, as well as all other 9/11 books, is
a big feature of Big Wedding.
Hicks also relates personal details: his intimacy with Bush biographer
Jim Hatfield, and the secrets Jim took to his grave in July 2001. For
the first time, Hicks tells the story of his personal recruitment by
the CIA, and why he rebuffed the offer. This story is evident of one
thing: Hicks must be onto something.
Former CIA director George Tenet was awarded the highest civilian
honor, the Medal of Freedom on December 13, 2004. But only Sander Hicks
and the Big Wedding
report that Tenet should have instead been convicted of perjury: he
lied to the 9/11 Commission, under oath, saying that he didn't visit
President Bush in Crawford, Texas, in August 2001. Only The Big Wedding proves that Tenet in fact visited Crawford, not twice, but three times.
Big Wedding finds a pattern and it names names: the FBI and CIA higher-ups who have been covering the trail of 9/11. Big Wedding
will conclude by calling for a full Congressional reform of Federal law
enforcement and intelligence, as sweeping as that of the Church
Committee in the late seventies. We don't need more centralization; we
need to smash the CIA into a "thousand pieces" like JFK said.
In the spirit of full disclosure, a generous cornucopia of appendices
includes full, unedited interview transcripts, copies of hand-written
notes, legal documents, photos, and phone records compiled since 1999.
In March 2005, The Big Wedding
will prove that 9/11 wasn't a surprise to anyone but the American
people who suffered its attack. The top levels of the FBI, CIA, ONI,
DIA, ATF and the Bush White House used 9/11 to justify dual,
pre-planned wars of expansion. The Big Wedding announces the marriage of evil and the justice its been evading.

Sander
Hicks has reported on 9/11 issues since 9/2001 for Guerrilla
News, Long Island Press and INN World Report, a TV news
show on the Dish Network. Hicks is founder of Soft Skull Press,
Inc and Vox Pop/Drench Kiss Media Corporation. He has spoken publicly
about 9/11 alongside Scott Ritter, the UN arms inspector. He was
recently interviewed by Janeane Garafalo about 9/11 on nation-wide
radio network Air America, and addressed a massive audience at
the historic Riverside Church, in New York, on the topic of the
"9/11 Cover Up."
Co-Editor/Researcher
Allan Duncan recently contributed a twenty page affidavit
to the November 2003 racketeering lawsuit Marian Elleni Vs. George
Bush, in which a 9/11 widow sued the White House for gross negligence
in preventing 9/11 and the wrongful death of her husband.
