The Late Aaron Russo on Presidential Candidate Ron Paul

http://ronpaul08.blog-city.com/aaron_russo_on_ron_paul.htm

You may have heard that the Honorable Congressman Ron Paul is exploring running for the Republican nomination in 2008.

Congressman Paul will be the only uncompromising defender of the Constitution in the race.

I can't tell you how grateful I felt, how full of heartfelt joy, and how much enthusiasm I felt when I heard the news of his Candidacy. I am 1000% behind him!

Ron Paul has stepped up to the plate because he knows what we all know: the noose is tightening, and there isn't much time if we hope to restore to Constitutional Government.

I called Ron yesterday to tell him I am on board to do ANYTHING it takes to support his campaign.

NOW is the time for the ENTIRE Freedom Movement, all Third Parties, ALL GOOD AMERICANS EVERYWHERE, from all political stripes and persuasions, to unite to overtake the weakened Republican Party. Stand firmly behind Ron Paul, and work to restore our Constitutional Republic.

Do not let partisan politics get in the way. No matter what your Party affiliation, we must support Ron Paul as the Candidate.

Everything in the movie, America: Freedom to Fascism IS Ron Paul.

In my conversation with Congressman Paul, I told him I'll make copies of America: Freedom to Fascism available for his campaign. We will spread them far and wide.

What better way to introduce him to the public than for him to talk to them in their own living rooms?! What better way to help awaken them to governmental intrusions into their private lives than to see it in their own homes?

Congressman Ron Paul is the man with the strength to stay the course until Enemies, Foreign and Domestic, are put in their rightful place!

There isn't a better man for the job. He has an impeccable voting record. He is "right on," on Freedom and Sovereignty issues.

In a time of universal deceit, Congressman Paul dares to commit the revolutionary act of telling the truth. How refreshing!

But now the work begins.

Ron Paul needs not just our "affirmative nod," he needs our time, energy, financial contributions, and willingness to see him win. He needs us to use our precious accrued "vacation time" to go to New Hampshire to knock on doors, pass out AFTF DVDs, to be as dedicated to helping him win as he is to running the Race. His campaign must be organized District by District.

The entire AFTF Network must focus on helping Ron Paul. You have already awakened a lot of Americans to the dangers we face.

NOW, help me, won't you, as I do everything within my means to promote the only HONEST, Constitutional American in the 2008 Presidential race.

With the right Candidate and a passionate grassroots effort, it is possible to take over a weakened Republican Party. I've told you many times of how we overtook the Republican Party in my Gubernatorial race in Nevada. I KNOW it can be done!

Well, HERE is that Candidate!

NOW IS THE TIME to join with me and support Ron Paul.

I've seen you at work. You can do this. WE can do this!

I Am Most Sincerely Yours in Freedom,

Aaron Russo

A True Freedom Fighter Leaves Us

8/24/07 4:20AM

AARON RUSSO, FREEDOM FIGHTER, FILM PRODUCER, BUSINESSMAN, LOVER OF LIFE ITSELF HAS PASSED AWAY...............

I am deeply saddened to report that Aaron Russo passed away this morning after a long battle with cancer. He made a most remarkable contribution to the freedom movement. He will be dearly missed.

Let's remember the contribution that Aaron made to the business world, the movie industry and to grassroots freedom movement in uncovering for all Americans to examine -- the income tax scam, the Federal Reserve, the police state. And for his contributions to the libertarian movement in America.

It is now our task, our life mission to continue to fan the fires of liberty that he started. It is up to us to continue the legacy of educating the public to the truth about America that Aaron helped to unveil. It is up to us to put Ron Paul in the White House.

It is up to us to continue to uncover the dark secrets about America; to bring them into the light of truth. It is up to us to continue to fight for the Rights that our Creator has granted us. It is up to us to remain ever vigilant so that we will remain free.

These things, I believe, is what Aaron would tell us to continue to fight for; what he would expect of us.

God Bless Aaron Russo. May he rest in Peace.

Communities Given Wastewater Drug Tests!

OH BROTHER! -- OH BIG BROTHER!

Seth Borenstein of AP writes in an August 21st article: "Researchers have figured out how to give an entire community a drug test using just a teaspoon of wastewater from a city's sewer plant."

"The test wouldn't be used to finger any single person as a drug user. But it would help federal law enforcement and other agencies track the spread of dangerous drugs, like methamphetamines, across the country."

Some people need to get a real job and leave us alone! What next? A test to make sure us mere lab rats are getting enough fresh fruits and vegetables? Then what?

Hmmm, perhaps in the near future the prospective of Big Brother gubmint will be:

Sewage tested. Write city a citation because the collateral slaves are obviously eating too much meat and not enough fresh fruit and vegetables -- $4,000,000

Dole out grocery store certificates to all collateral slaves in an attempt to help said slaves correct their savage and uncivilized diets -- $2,500,000

Controlling entire cities and the minds and lives of all collateral slaves -- Priceless

Ron Paul Places Third in Illinois Inaugural Straw Poll

Ron Paul picked up a third place finish behind Mitt Romney (the chosen one) in first place followed by the meddler, mere interloper, GOP presidency lurker and otherwise unannounced presidential candidate, Fred Thompson, after a low turnout of only 922 voters at the first ever straw poll in Illinois on Thursday.

Here's a Chicago Tribune article about the event.

An Irony: The Iowa GOP, Diebold Electronic Voting Machines and the Iowa Straw Poll

I arrived in Ames, Iowa last Friday evening to participate in the Iowa Straw Poll knowing that my candidate of choice, Ron Paul could use all the help he could get. I had heard about a group called Vote in Sunshine which sought to have a paper ballot to provide verification of the Diebold electronic voting machines that were being used.

After it was known that the Iowa GOP would not allow paper balloting, Vote in Sunshine filed a motion in court to cause an injunction to stop the straw poll and force a paper ballot. The court dismissed the motion due to lack of time for the defendant to properly respond before the straw poll took place. So, Vote in Sunshine decided they would continue with their plans to conduct a paper ballot exit poll as the straw poll voters left the voting stations in an attempt to verify the voting on their own. This I thought would benefit all of us. The Citizens, all the candidates -- most particularly the second tier candidates, the Iowa GOP and everyone else. A paper vote and a count done out in the open. I volunteered to help them.

Wearing bright yellow Vote in Sunshine T shirts and carrying paper ballots, clipboards, affidavits for voters to fill out to swear to their vote, pens, a clear box for ballots and a clicker counter, I along with other volunteers headed toward an assigned exit for the sole purpose of spending most of the day counting the people exiting the straw poll and asking them if they wanted to participate in our paper ballot exit poll. I worked with a great couple from southern Wisconsin.

Two of us were counting voters exiting with our clickers as well as offering them vote verification while the third was handing out the clipboards and affidavits to those participating in the poll. We were at it for less than an hour when the head of the Iowa GOP approached us and told us that we could not do what we were doing and that we would have to stop. When we asked him if this was still America, he said he was not going to get into an argument with us and said we needed to leave. When we was asked if this was still a free country and we were still allowed fair, verifiable balloting, he promptly said he was going to call the police and have us arrested and strode off.

Sure enough, a few minutes later two campus police officers showed up. They didn't interfere with us but rather made several phone calls and stood around while we continued to go about our exit polling. In awhile, the GOP head, the Iowa State U grounds keeper and a captain from the ISU Police showed up. By that time, I had made contact with one of our group heads who also showed up and this new group of four walked off to discuss our situation. Meanwhile, the three of us continued our exit polling efforts.

After several minutes, the debating quartet returned to where we were conducting the poll right outside the east exit of the coliseum to tell us that we did not have a permit to be there and therefore we were not allowed to distribute anything to anyone. We could stay there and talk to people but we could not even hand someone a clipboard with a ballot attached for them to fill out and place in our clear plastic holding bin. A different story than our group had been told the day before.

Though we didn't want to, we three resolved that we would go to jail (all the while getting video evidence) if that's what it took because our cause was fighting a suppression of our freedom and needed to be exposed. We immediately decided that we couldn't hand the clipboards to anyone but we could talk about the exit poll, making sure their vote counted and show them how they could pick up the clipboard on our chair, fill it out and tuck the verification form into a slot in our clear plastic bin -- which we did. The two officers first on the scene stood around another half hour after the police captain had given us our instructions not to distribute and they left.

Needless to say, we went back to what we had originally been doing anyway. It was interesting and got a lot of voter attention when we told them that we were acting under threat of arrest because we were told we didn't have a permit (while operating on public grounds) and that the Iowa GOP didn't want a verification process of any kind to the straw poll. Most were inflamed at such a police state notion.

As it turns out, we collected a total of 900 verification ballots (about 6% of the total votes cast inside). We could have done much better with more help but our point had been made and noticed not only by the GOP who wanted us gone but most importantly the voters who now know that something is terribly wrong with electronic voting machines and counting ballots in the dark and away from public scrutiny and verification. We finished counting and tabulating our verification ballots by about 7:30PM so that we could announce our results after the GOP announced their findings. But something happened!

7PM came and went and no announcement about the straw poll results. We waited and waited and waited some more. Little did we know what was causing the delay. But guess what? One of the electronic voting machines fouled up and the GOP had to hand count around 1500 ballots and tabulate the results!

You see, no matter how hard they try to keep us pinned down, something always happens that ultimately costs the other side credibility. Our effort to induce a paper ballot and make a statement to the other 48 states that the use electronic voting machines is unacceptable when it is not backed up with a paper ballot, couldn't have been given more credibility than to have one of the machines in Iowa breakdown! Especially after the GOP head wanted to have us arrested for merely bringing light to an otherwise dark and offensive attempt to stifle our free exercise to vote and factually know the true results. No doubt the defunct voting machine debacle was incited by our Creator.

The Real Story About Candidates' Supporters From The Iowa GOP Debate

I tried to explain to my friends what I had witnessed, in fact took part in, in Des Moines, Iowa during the GOP debate this past Sunday and how ABC News portrayed the event from the perspective of candidate support.

See if this video shows a different crowd of supporters than the ABC News photos suggested.

I guess you can't blame ABC News for not being "fair and balanced" -- that's reserved for Faux News -- I mean Fox News.

Seriously, can anyone believe the reporting of the mainstream media anymore?

Iowa GOP Won't Allow a Privately Funded Manual Validation of Diebold Computers

The Iowa GOP wants to charge the Ron Paul campaign $184,000 if they want a verifiable paper count of the Iowa Straw Poll this Saturday in Ames, Iowa! Otherwise, hey, just trust the Diebold electronic voting apparatus that has proven to be oh-so reliable in "elections" in the recent past. The same machines that programmers have testified in Congress that they are easily manipulated to foster the results someone may be looking for to win. (i.e. Bush in 2000? or South Dakota Amendment E [Judicial Accountability Initiative] in 2006?)

Click on the links below, read the two short articles, then call the Iowa GOP and tell them that Ron Paul should not be extorted of large sums of money just to get fair voting results nor anyone else!

Ron Paul and the Iowa Straw Poll

Iowa: Four Items

August 6, 2007

1. Tickets to Iowa Straw Poll

Thanks to the generous donations of supporters around the country, the campaign has purchased 500 red tickets and will make them available at no charge to eligible Iowan residents who have yet to purchase a ticket for the straw poll. In addition to voting, this red ticket will allow access to the Hilton Coliseum where the candidate speeches will be delivered.

Subject to the provisions below, these tickets are available on a first-come, first-served basis to those of you currently without tickets. Please contact our field coordinator, Heather Olson, at heather@ronpaul2008.com and you will receive a voucher for a ticket that can be picked up at the straw poll.

You must be eligible to vote in the straw poll. This means you must be an Iowa resident who will be 18 years of age by November 4, 2008, and have a driver's license, a state ID, a student ID, or a military ID.

To reserve a ticket, send an e-mail to heather@ronpaul2008.com with your name, address and the type of ID you will use. You will be sent a voucher by e-mail to print and bring to the straw poll with your ID. There will be a table at the Ron Paul tent where you can redeem your voucher for a ticket.

RSVP for the straw poll at http://www.ronpaul2008.com/events/iowa-straw-poll/
if you haven't already.

If you don't live in Iowa but know of someone who does, encourage them to attend the upcoming straw poll and vote for Ron Paul.

2. Volunteers Needed for Iowa Straw Poll

If you're coming to the straw poll in Ames, Iowa on August 11 and want to help, the Ron Paul 2008 campaign in Iowa could really use you.

This straw poll is critical to Dr. Paul's long-term success -- as it is the first major test of a candidate's organization -- and we need about 300 volunteers to assist with the event that day (and a little bit the day before and after) from about 6 am - 8 pm. Over 40,000 people will be descending on the Hilton Coliseum Complex and we need to make a good impression and get as many Iowans (non-Iowans can't vote) as possible to vote for Dr. Paul.

For each of the different positions below, we will be putting you in touch with a team captain, and he/she will contact you. You will meet with your team captain and become familiar with the grounds and walk thru what you'll be doing on the day of the straw poll during a dress rehearsal.

We will hold the dress rehearsal on Thursday, Aug 9th at 6 pm (two days before the event). This rehearsal will be held at the Ron Paul tent site (#1) at the corner of Lincoln Way and Beach Street which is at the far northwest corner of the Hilton Complex.

Please note you can do more than one job as long as it doesn't overlap in time with another. Volunteer to help by completing a brief survey at http://www.surveymonkey.com/s.aspx?sm=9wWcdaAbGdxNcuARtN_2fCFQ_3d_3d Check the appropriate boxes describing the volunteer opportunity that you'd like to participate in, and the time.

3. Rally in Cedar Rapids

As our campaign has been gaining momentum in Iowa over the last few days, we have witnessed a large amount of support from all over the state of Iowa and from supporters around the country. We would like to send a heartfelt "thank you" to all our volunteers and supporters for making the success in Iowa happen.

We also want to invite you to a rally and celebration of our volunteers and supporters in Cedar Rapids, Iowa on Thursday, August 9th at 8:00 pm. The event will be held at the Crowne Plaza in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. We are expecting many supporters, both from Iowa and the surrounding areas, to come and celebrate with Dr. Paul.

Help us prepare for the event by completing an RSVP form at http://www.surveymonkey.com/s.aspx?sm=K8ZIsgeNmfBZoLDufDAcOA_3d_3d. If you are attending as part of a larger group, please have your organizer or leader fill out this form. If you are attending as an individual, fill out this form for you and your guests. The rally is free and open to the public.

4. Private Briefing in Cedar Rapids

A private briefing with Republican presidential candidate Ron Paul will be held at the Crowne Plaza in Cedar Rapids on Thursday, August 9 at 7:00 pm; just before the rally. Refreshments will be served. Dr. Paul will speak, as will national campaign manager Lew Moore, and both will answer your questions. You are welcome to take photographs with Congressman Paul. No press will be allowed.

A minimum donation of $1,000 per person.

For information or to reserve your place at the private briefing, call Kent Snyder at 703-248-9115 or send an e-mail to kentsnyder@usa.net .
